With understanding comes empowerment.

With empowerment comes progress.

And with progress comes reward.

Through the proper use of choice I can change my life.

Have you ever worked with a group of people that didn't make progress, just kept circling the same issues until whatever they were focusing on just went away from lack of action? What can you do to avoid this in your work life?  By living an empowered life and integrating these behaviors and characteristics:

  • Having decision making power of your own.
  • Having access to information and resources to enable you to take proper informed decisions for yourself.
  • Having a range of options that you have determined for yourself so that you can make choices (not just yes / no , either / or)
  • Ability to exercise assertiveness in collective decision making.
  • Having the belief in self to the extent that you feel that you can make positive change or have the ability to make change for yourself.
  • Ability to learn new skills or improving one’s personal power or group power.
  • Ability to change other’s perceptions by democratic means.
  • Involving in the growth process and changes that is never ending and self initiated.
  • Increasing one’s positive self image and overcoming stigma.

Finally all of the above can be summed up to say, “I am personally responsible for my life and where I find myself.  If I don’t like it, I have the power to change it and I have the right to do just that".
